I’ll update this page regularly with reviews of charging stands, third-party watch straps, and other accessories.
Apple Watch can function as an iPod, even if you leave your iPhone at home. But you’ll need a pair of Bluetooth headphones or earbuds, because the watch lacks an audio-out port. I’ve tried a number of Bluetooth earpieces, but my favorite so far is Beats’ Powerbeats2 ($200).
Love it: Earbuds stay in place during a run. Music quality is better than average. Comfortable to wear. Stylish design. Gets six hours on a charge.
Leave it: Pricey. Bluetooth connection occasionally causes music to skip or drop out. Placement of in-line microphone makes it hard for others to hear what you say during phone calls.
Buy it: If you can afford $200, you like the Beats product line, and plan to regularly listen to music on your watch.
